Discernment Before Certainty: Reading a Spiritual Message Carefully

Faith leaves room for questions.

A message described as prophetic can feel weighty, especially when it touches a question you have been carrying for months. Makeda’s About page says her ministry measures messages against Scripture. For readers, that emphasis offers a reason to slow down: faith does not require treating every spiritual statement as unquestionable fact.

Read before reacting

Read the entire message once without making a decision. On a second reading, distinguish encouragement, interpretation, Scriptural references, and specific claims. A moving sentence may offer comfort without establishing that a predicted event will happen.

Check Scripture in context

If a passage is cited, read the surrounding text in your Bible. Consider who is being addressed and what the passage is about. A verse should not be lifted out of context to guarantee a job, a marriage, a cure, or a payment. If you are unsure, discuss it with a trusted church leader or knowledgeable reader.

Ask four grounded questions

  1. Does this encourage compassion, responsibility, and honest reflection?
  2. Does it respect my ability to ask questions and make decisions?
  3. Does it pressure me through fear, secrecy, or urgent demands for money?
  4. What evidence or qualified advice do I need before acting?

You can reject an interpretation that does not fit your experience. You do not need to buy further services to prove your faith or resolve someone else’s alarming claim.

Seek counsel without surrendering agency

A trusted person can help you notice context you missed. Choose someone who can listen without insisting they know exactly what God intends for every part of your life. For health, legal, or financial decisions, seek the appropriate professional help as well.

Take time

Write down what seems useful, what remains uncertain, and what action you can safely consider. Unless ordinary circumstances require an urgent response, give major decisions time. A spiritual message is not a substitute for evidence.

Read Makeda’s stated beliefs and boundaries, then explore her written offerings if they suit your needs. This guide does not authenticate any message as divine.
