Rankings
Shop Rankings
How we rank the shops and services featured in the journal — an honest blend of our editor's review and what real customers say.
How the score works
The Journal Score (out of 5) is 60% editor's review and 40% customer rating. Customer ratings come from each shop's own site or Etsy and only count once a shop has at least 5 reviews. Shops can't pay for a higher score — sponsored placements are always labelled.
- Authenticity — Real practitioner, honest about their tradition
- Service — Communication, delivery, care for clients
- Value — Fair pricing for what is offered
- Transparency — Clear policies, no fear-based upselling
