When Work Feels Stuck: A Tarot Check-In for Your Next Move
Explore the feeling, then check the facts.

A disappointing interview, an exhausting job, an idea you keep postponing: work has its own crossroads. Dr Cosmic’s tarot page includes career and money readings. Before you explore a paid session, try separating the emotional question from the practical decision. Both deserve attention, but they are not the same thing.
Name the kind of stuck
Are you bored, burned out, underpaid, unsupported, or afraid of change? “My career is going nowhere” bundles several possibilities together. Write the specific issue and one example from the past week. A concrete starting point gives a reflective exercise something to work with.
Draw for a strength and an obstacle
If you have a deck, draw two cards. Let the first prompt a strength you could use more deliberately. Let the second prompt an obstacle you need to examine. You can do the same exercise without cards by answering those questions in writing.
- Describe what you see in each image before interpreting it.
- Write a possible connection to your work situation.
- Add one fact that supports the connection and one that challenges it.
- Choose a small action you can test, such as updating your portfolio or asking about training.
Keep a separate practical page
List your expenses, savings, application deadlines, and responsibilities. Check any contract or offer carefully. A card associated with abundance does not establish that an investment is safe or that you can afford to leave your job. Use qualified financial or legal advice for those questions.
Try a seven-day experiment
Instead of demanding a complete career plan, choose one experiment for the coming week: contact a former colleague, research a course, or set aside time for an application. At the end of the week, ask what you learned. Progress can be information, not just a dramatic breakthrough.
This exercise belongs to Crossroads Journal; it is not a description of Dr Cosmic’s own spread. If you would like a reader-led perspective, explore Dr Cosmic’s tarot readings. Keep major employment and financial decisions grounded in evidence.
